Tuscan bread and tomato salad

    Cut the bread into large cubes. If it is not very dry, toast it in a 180°C oven for 8 to 10 minutes until crisp on the outside.

    Cut the tomatoes into chunks, slice the cucumber into half-moons, and thinly slice the red onion.

    Whisk the vinegar, olive oil, salt, and pepper together in a large bowl.

    Add the tomatoes and let them sit for 5 minutes so they release some of their juices.

    Add the bread, cucumber, onion, and half the torn basil. Toss well so the bread absorbs the dressing without falling apart completely.
