1. Introduction
La Baguette ('we', 'our') operates the La Baguette mobile application and the labaguette.app website. This privacy policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
2. Data We Collect
We collect the following data: • Account information: name, email address, sign-in method (Apple, Google, or email). • App usage data: saved recipes, favorites, shopping lists, personal recipes (including any photos you attach to them), dietary preferences, cooking level, favorite cuisines, goals, excluded ingredients. • AI Chef messages: the messages you send to the AI Chef are processed in order to generate responses. Your culinary profile (preferences, exclusions) is included as context to personalize suggestions. • Notifications: technical information required to deliver push notifications, history of notifications sent, and your interactions with them (opened, recipe cooked). • Technical data: device type, OS version, timezone, language. • Measurement and marketing data: anonymized events related to your use of the app (install, signup steps, subscription), the device's advertising identifier (only if you consent via Apple's "App Tracking Transparency" prompt on iOS), and approximate country/region derived from your IP address. • Local data: some information is stored only on your device (AI message counter, display preferences) and is never transmitted to our servers. We do not collect health data, precise (GPS) location, or contacts.
3. How We Use Your Data
Your data is used to: • Provide, secure, and improve the service. • Personalize recipe suggestions via the AI Chef and push notifications. • Manage your subscription and our related legal obligations. • Send you recipe notifications adapted to your tastes and the time of day, if you have enabled them. • Measure the performance of our marketing campaigns and attribute app installs to their source. On iOS, this only happens if you consent via Apple's "App Tracking Transparency" prompt; you can revoke this consent at any time in iOS Settings. • Understand, in aggregate, how the app is used in order to identify bugs and areas for improvement. • Collect your feedback to improve the application. We do not display targeted advertising inside the app, and we do not make any automated decisions producing legal effects concerning you.
4. Data Sharing
We never sell your personal data. To run the application we rely on technical providers acting as data processors under the GDPR, grouped into the following categories: • Cloud hosting and infrastructure: authentication, database, storage of recipe photos, push-notification delivery, server-side functions. • Artificial-intelligence processing: generating AI Chef responses and generating recipe illustrations from the information you provide. • Subscription and in-app-purchase management. • Third-party identity providers, when you choose to sign in with an Apple or Google account. • Audience measurement and marketing attribution: anonymized analysis of app usage and of the performance of our acquisition campaigns. • Website hosting. These providers are contractually required to protect your data and may only use it for the purposes we instruct. Some of them may be located outside the European Union; where this is the case, transfers are governed by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard. A detailed list of our processors is available on request at contact@labaguette.app.
5. Data Retention
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can delete your account directly from the app settings or by contacting us at contact@labaguette.app. Deletion removes all your data (profile, recipes, lists, notification history) and will be completed immediately or within a maximum of 30 days.
6. Your Rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, delete, and port your data. To exercise these rights, contact us at contact@labaguette.app.
